Hello All,
Just moved to Lake Forest for work in Irvine from kite Meca ( Oregon ). Thought I woud say hello and cast a line for some tips on finding wind and some kite buds in Southern Cal.
Don't really know anyone in the area, only been here 2 weeks today and mostly just working and unpacking but I need my fix.
About me - I've been kiting for 4 years mostly in the Columbia Gorge and the Oregon coast but also in the Philippines, Taiwan, Florida, New Jersey, Utah (snow), and Idaho (snow). I currently fly Caution Kites although I've flown others. I am an IKO Instructor and will be checking with the local schools for work as and Instructor on weekends during peak season.
Would love to hear from and meet up with some of the local wind freaks so shoot me a message.
