Coming to Cali!!!

Hi everyone,
My boss told me today that I'm being posted to Oxnard for 3months from the middle of August wooooo!!!
I'm looking for some local knowledge on where to kiteboard, who to take lessons from and it'd be awesome if I could find some kiters to hangout with.
I started power kiting last year and I bought a 1.5m Ozone Imp and a 6m Ozone Access XC. At new year I bought a land board and I've been out on that a few times but not nearly as much as I'd like. When I come across to Cali I really want to learn to kitesurf becuase its too cold here in Scotland not to be moving in the water!! I hope you guys can help.
Oh it'd also be awesome to get scoop on Oxnard itself too. I'm coming across on my own and I dunno what ti expect or where to chillax. So any info you can give me would be sweet as.
